My daughters first halloween she was 5 months.
I make her and my sons costumes--- I made her tinkerbell and my son was captain hook.

Last year she was over a year and I made her a Spanish Dancer with the rose in her hair and my son the bull fighter.

Have fun with it. Even though she may n ot know what is going on, she will enjoy oall the lights and different faces she sees and goo and ha all the way through.

We go to a costume contest every year maybe there is one in your area.

Treasure there youth.

Susan

You can make lots of great costumes from a solid-colored creeper and skullcap with the addition of a little felt and fabric paint.
For instance:
Lion= yellow creeper with brown felt ruff added to the collar and a felt tail sewn to the seat. Yellow hat w/ felt ears
Clown= striped sleeper with pompoms hot glued down front and on toes
Dog= brown creeper, felt tail, felt collar on creeper, ears on hat.

You can do the same thing for yourself by substituting sweat pants/ sweatshirts for the creepers, and using a little more face paint than the baby.

My daughter was around the same age at halloween last year and she dressed up as tigger.
Walmart had the costume it had little tigger feet on it and it was hooded which ad the ears on it. She had soooo many compliments.

the only thing that i can suggest is something that's weather appropriate. i see so many people dressing up their little ones in really cute costumes that don't match the season. it's pretty cold here around Halloween, so i got my son a dracula outfit that is all one piece and will keep him really warm. old navy makes really cute ones.

Gee, 7 months seems a bit YOUNG to dress up. Diapers etc. will be a problem. The Cherub thing might work, but you really don't have many options. Put some red dots on her cheeks, and a clowny hat? Yikes.

when my son was 5 months old at halloween, my sis made him a tootsie roll costume. he was nice and warm all night, and it was easy to take on and off when needed!

My sister was "Sleeping Beauty" and I was Raggity Ann. She was 3 months old and I was 6 years old. Mom put her in a pretty frilly pink dress and she passed out five minutes after we left the house. LOL!

You could be Dorothy (from the wizard of oz) and you could make her Toto and decorate her carseat like a basket and you could carry her around in it. Here are some costumes I found on the internet though:
