I'm a huge Dave Matthews Band fan, check out their debut album "Under The Table & Dreaming" or their lastest "Stand Up"; it's hard to place them in a catergory. Their a mix of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Folk, World Beat, Jam, & Alternative.

Os Paralamas Do Sucesso. Listen to the song "De Música Ligeira". It's on Napster and you can listen to it all the way through 5 times before they make you pay. Go there now. It has the most incredible guitar solo! It's a remake of the same title by Soda Stereo.

Devics with If You Forget Me as their most varied CD. They go from jazz to near punk in some of theri songs. Sara Lov has the best vocals around (very haunting).

Well, I listen to The Black Crowes. Their greatest hits is really good, it has their more popular songs like She Talks To Angels, Remedy and their version of Hard To Handle (Otis Redding). There are some really great songs on that one.
Kinda blues, jazz, gospel, rock sounds all rolled into one.

I would recommend DragonForce (extreme power metal) or Lacuna Coil (ambient/goth metal)
Best DragonForce album: Sonic Firestorm
Best Lacuna Coil album: Karmacode
