I got a small tattoo on the back of my neck.. it's the chinese symbol for happiness. I didn't go to my usual artist so i don't like how thick he made the lines. From far away it lookes like it could be a mole but then again it's still swollen n stuff. But too make it look better would it be stupid if i got "Happiness" written really fancy underneath it. Or would that be stupid to have the english meaning under the chinese symbol?!?!

Well if it's "still swollen n stuff" wait for it to heal before you make a decision.
I've seen people with the English meaning under the Chinese symbols, and yes, it looks dumb. I always think, "Why did they bother with a symbol if they were going to get the word too?" It's actually repetitive having something written twice, even in different languages.
Give your neck time to heal all the way before you make any decisions one way or another. Then ask a friend to look at it from different distances. Preferably one with some ink so they have a better chance of knowing what they are talking about. Don't try to judge it yourself in a mirror.

I have that symbol on my ankle! I would just say wait and see if the swelling goes down and consult with your regular tattoo artist. I dont think it wouldnt look bad with the meaning under it but i dont have it under mine. I like for people to wonder what it means haha

i think that that would be really cool my dad is tottaly into tatoes and he has losta tattoe artist friends and i just asked him what he thought of thtat and he said that that was unique and probably a goo choice for those pple who dont know what the symbol stands for and he said it would make i look better too but this time get it done by ur regular artist :)

Actually most tatooists use the symbol for stupid white guy.
Let's see how long he can stand it before he has to check.

Yea dont do that! I can read both and it would look funny. If you hate it that much just pay to get it lasered off. Otherwise, grow your hair long to hide your neck.
