i think 13 is way to young to be having sex in the first place. parents say that kind of thing to scare their children. He really loves her and has a hard time coming to grips that his daughter is growing up and thinking about sex

So? How is this any of your business?
He is not a bad father. My father has been offering to give me condoms since I was 13. He told me I can have sex if I want, but I must use protection. My parents were both and still are very open about sex, and life in general. They are both honest, and are great parents.

The 2 of you are only 13, you do not need to have sex...you need to be an adult first. You have a while to go before you become an adult.
If your friend has had sex and is pregnant then yes she is in deep trouble.
Sex is for adults not for kids...and you and your friend are both kids.

Wow she has a very laid back father. I think he cares but wants her to be mature about it. That doesn't mean she should go out and do it though. I was 16 when it happened to me and I am a very attractive woman. I found I got more respect from guys when they found out I was still a virgin, look at Jessica Simpson, she waited til she was married and she's hot!!!

by law shes 2 young to be having sex. The age of consent is 14 in canada. if a boy has sex with her thats statutory rape wheather she wants to or not. Both the boy and her father could end up in jail.

Sounds like her dad is an ***. Neither of you should be ready for sex at thirteen. wait untill you are older, and understand how to have safe sex. There are other things to worry about other than getting pregnant, to worry about with sex. If she needs to talk to someone about sex, she cant talk to a counsuler, teacher, or another adult that she feels comfortable with. What about her mother?

If I knew then what I know now, I would keep my virginity and save that precious gift for my husband. You will be respected more if you stay pure

THAT PERSON IS CRAZY!!!!! but It doesn't matter. But just don't think any thing about that. If you want to lose it then you can. But if you don't want that person to get mad then don't forget to use protection. k?
I would kinda be happy if he said that to me but not in front of ANY guy. So that they wouldn't know so that they would not try anything on you. So try not to get to problems in the furture.
but just don't think anything about it.
BE CAREFUL!!!!

It really dosn't matter what her father said, as long as she dosn't have sex and get pregnant, because 13 is way too young.
