I disagree! We Americans think that we run the planet, that we are the best, that our way is the best way, etc... but it just isn't so. We need to take our heads out of the holes in the ground and realize that we may be rich and we may be powerful, but the world does NOT revolve around us! This is called ethnocentrism (thinking that the world should revolve all around your own culture), and it is WRONG. We are outnumbered by the Chinese and the Hispanics, and we are becoming second-rate in many other ways to the Japanese. It is NOT an American planet!

The problem is not that the world won't accept it. The problem is that Americans that have never set foot in another country think that the rest of the world should follow our lead. Sorry, doesn't work that way. Until we fix ALL our problems in this country, how can we try and fix someone elses? Until we learn to respect ALL the different cultures/people in the world, how can we demand respect?
I believe we live in the greatest country in the world, but we tend to be arrogant. Our schooling tends to be one of the worst in the world. Our crime rate IS the worst in the world.
If we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem!

Only the Americans think we live in an American planet. Once they realise there are people across the oceans with different aspirations and virtues things will get better for us all.

Because of arrogant pricks such as yourself, who make up the majority of our country. I'm a very unhappy american, and I think the world would be much better off with out us.
Just like The Middle East, Rome, England, and even France, we will fall from the super-power position of the world.

Let's see. Seven billion people on the planet. 300 million in the US.
That makes the US about 4% of the world's population.
Didn't I read something about proportional representation and governments based on majority decisions.

Because ironically the rest of the world must be far more arrogant than Americans.
Never thought I'd say that.
