AMD's fine.
Avoid buying Dell. They suck you in w/ low prices, but replacement parts must be Dell.

If your CD/DVD burner fails in 3 years, can you slap anybody's replacement in?

For $500, you should be able to get a Desktop w/ printer AND an Athlon processor.

Semprons are typically better performers than Celerons in every category, because they are nearly identical to the Athlon 64's (which crush Intel's P4). They have more L1 and L2 cache than the Celeron, too.

Also, realize that there are many different versions of the Celeron. Only the latest version of the Celeron stands a chance against the Sempron, though not by much.

Thats like saying which pile of garbage is the worst pile? Its not person-friendly to verify. Do you bypass by technique of scent, do you bypass by technique of ways curiously, do you bypass by technique of length? both the Celeron and Sampron are less costly processors (why you have become a great deal on the computing device). the project is once you attempt to do more effective then one ingredient at a time (like pcs do) they run sluggish and sluggest. i'm no longer constructive what you recommend on making use of your pc for, yet after like 6 month of having it, you properly start up to comprehend its sluggish and doesn't do what you like it to do quick adequate. and also you'd be back on Yahoo solutions asking "Why is my computing device so sluggish" now you recognize your answer. you opt to spend really more effective funds and get some Duo middle computing device. It runs more effective efficient, likely gained't have as lengthy of batter existence as those more cost-effective ones. yet its a more effective efficient deal.

amd sempron processors are comparable with intel, but be careful as emachines can be quite buggy when reinstalling drivers.

If you compare those, the AMD is better...but for the price, those are better:
Pentium D 805 less than $100
Opteron 144 around $125
They are the best overclockers

sempron is and always will be better than celeron for one reason. sempron has a cache and celeron does not.

AMD is better.

And get a Dell instead of an eMachine.
