You can replace your breaks with more work time!!!
You can learn to replace your BRAKES, either by getting a repair manual, or having someone who knows how help you, and showing you how. One hint, a digital camera is a great help. Take pictures of each step when you take the brakes apart. If you run into trouble putting them back together, you will have the pictures of how they are supposed to look!!!

Pick up a repair manual at the local autoparts store for the vehicle your interested in replacing the brakes. (Autozone has them) It will give you a step by step procedure and the tools you'll need.

Get Haynes manual, take it apart and put it back together exactly like it was, if not sure, go to junk yard and go at it, after a few times you'll be a pro.

tou buy a book on your car and look up the section on brakes,see what tools you will need and do the job.It helps if you have some one that has done them befor for the first time.

most auto parts stores will have repair manuals for your specific car.buy it,they are not expensive and can help you fix alot more than just your brakes.the money you saved by doing it your self paid for the book and then some.

go and do a mechanics course at a collage, or night school, It quite easy to do, get a Haynes manual, and read it though
