We are merely organisms that manifest a tiny spit of sand and water. The chances of there being any life beyond that? Possibly but i doubt they will look the way we do or think if that is what they do. Life comes in all shapes and sizes and can adapt to any scenario (evolve). We may have evolved from life elswhere that blew up many millions of years ago and were transported via asteroid to the place we now call earth in a form that is completely different to what exists now. As for elvis? There is a 1.6 million pound prize to the person who finds elvis alive apparently.
Aint it funny? Im not really a scientific type but my imagination impresses me every single day.

It's not a question of which is more likely. It's more like this: We are NOT alone in this universe and Elvis is NOT Alive.

More chance of Elvis being alive than there being life else where in the universe, who's being idiotic.

We are not alone in the universe and Elvis is dead.
Or to put it your way, IF we are alone in the universe, then Elvis is 100% alive.

If there are an infinite number of universes, then there is a real live Elvis out there somewhere, infact an infinite number!!!!!
In this one Elvis has left the Planet Earth, and the only human beings that exist, will exist, have existed, belong to this earth.
The solar system does not appear to be a blueprint for the rest of our galaxy or Verse.

Elvis was kidnapped by beings from another planet and is currently in suspended animation awaiting the time for his return to Earth as Master of the Universe.
This of course will only happen when he has lost all those excessive pounds and this is what is taking so long.

We cannot reasonably be alone in the universe, so say hi to Elvis for me when you see him!

I'd say it is more likely that Elvis is alive. Not that I believe either but it's a big universe.
