They are two different routes to bliss. But the main difference is while you have a lot of opposition to the former, there aren't as many, against the latter. The former also gives you this 'there is a person exclusively for 'me'' feeling that the latter doesn't. While the latter, yes, does give you a feeling where you know there is a person for you, he/she is not exclusively devoted to you. They have other people to live with too. That is why you see more people dying for love, than for friendship.

love and freindship dnt have a lot of difference but friendship is sumthin where u can discuss about nything and everything and freindship can lead to love as most ppl experience

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.
