ALL the songs on my iPod are gone,but the pictures are still there.It sayas something is corrupt and to run the chkdsk utility.
What is the chkdksk utility and how do I do it?Or is there another way I can get it to work right again?

CHKDSK is a utility that runs usually after a Windows system crash. I'm not familiar with it being associated with iPod or the MAC operating system. If you open a Command prompt from Windows and simply type chkdsk, it will run and then give you the relevant stats once it has completed. After that I'd check to see if the music files are still on the physical disk. If so, you should simply be able to reload them to your iPod via iTunes. If this doesn't work then something more serious has happened. Good luck.

It seems like you need to run the iPod Updater, which you can get online. I read this article on Apple's website and I think this is your case, it'll have links on where to download it if you don't have it. I hope this works, goodluck!
