For me:
It's been out for a while but "Takk" from Sigur Ros is
quite amazing.

I too am digging Sigur Ros, Takk as well as their first unnamed cd. I play in my car all the time. Really takes the stress out of traffic.

I'm not 100% sure that this qualifies as "atmospheric", but I think it does. The cd is called, "Ethereality" by Gnomusy (David Caballero). Many of the songs on this cd certainly give me goosebumps!! :)
The song, "Isabel Romantica" is one of my favorites.
Here are some other cd's that I also really like:
"Nada Himalaya" by Deuter
"Distance" by Marconi Union. (The song, "Sleepless" is amazingly hypnotic and beautiful!)
"Mysts of Time" by Aine Minogue

The album is old news but i love Radiohead's Kid A album, i was just listening to it this evening. Enya is another wonderful new age singer, love her.I listen to mostly folkish rock though, and Damien Rice "O" album could just about be one of the best albums ever recorded according to me.
