Talk to a teacher or a couselor at school and have that person tell him. He might have a medical problem or something else is going on. That's the best thing you can do.

Everyone could pitch in and buy bath products or deodorant to offer him as a gift. Then, just one of you could take him aside and say that you would all appreciate his thoughtfulness in maintaining his personal hygiene. He'll get the hint.

Talk to a teacher and ask her to talk to him. If you know his parents or any of his siblings tell them. He may have a medical problem. He needs to be told.
