i think the supremes. some songs are better re-done. case in point: "Smoothe Criminal"-alien ant farm. original, Michael Jackson....need i say more? lol

Definitely Supremes. Although I like the Dixie Chicks, the Supremes own that song til the end.

I prefer The Supremes: I think the backing percussion is better, although I actually prefer the vocal of the Dixie Chicks.
What about Phil Collins's version?

Supremes. Original is not always better, but if it was a great original, its very difficult to remake as good. As long as the remake is different enough from the original, its got a chance. No respect for artists that try to make a carbon copy. What's the point?
