I have heard of a treatment talked about by medical newspaper columnist Dr. Gifford where the tumour is directly treated... I can't remember if it was a laser or freezing ( I know... big difference). The upshot of the treatment was fewer side effects(impotence, urination problems) than traditional treatments, while still be effective.

I am actually starting a job at this company that deals with this :Cancer treatment centers of America. They have hospitals around US. Have your dad make an appointment with them and they can lay out his options and provide the treatments for it. They have web site too www.cancercenters.com

Absolutely. The survival rate is pretty good for this type. The earlier it was caught (Stage 1 is the earliest stage) the better his chances are of recovery. As long as the cancer is contained and not spread, it'll be removed and he'll be fine.

Good luck! I hope he feels good!

I'm sorry to hear that. in some cases yes but be prepared because in most cases it's terminal. my dad has lung and throat cancer and he went through the whole chemo therapy and it helped but they gave him 6 months to two years to live. its gonna be very hard so just be prepared and enjoy your father as much as you can.

if you have anymore Q's feel free to e-mail me at ariessa2327@sbcglobal.net. in times like this is nice to talk to others who are going through the same thing.

good luck to you and your family.

Yes, if it is caught early enough and treated aggresively enough. Best of luck.
