I am currently breast feeding my 10 month old son, and I have more or less been told when I should wean him of breast feeding so I can have a mammogram. My sister has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and she is 3 yrs younger than me, so I have to be screened. Please if anyone has had experience of this can you give me some advice!

I had a mammogram while breast feeding. What reason were you given that you must wean first? If you had been breast feeding only a short time I could understand, but after 10 months your breasts aren't HUGE with milk and can be compressed without pain. Maybe you should think about finding a more experienced (read: understanding) person to do it.

"squirt,squirt"..i would imagine they would have to wait...since you might loose well milk in the process...

But hmm..That's kind of a touch spot to be in..since you know you should get checked out, but your son needs your immunities..
I think that's gonna have to be your call on that one.
