Alaska. I used to live there. My wife was born in Minnesota and she says Alaska is colder, too. Just for the fact that there is so little sunlight during the winter-it's like night all day long for months-there is no heat. Of course, during the summer, it was like the sun never went down. It's just weird. But I think Alaska is colder, definitely.

Alaska is further north, and can get much colder than Minnesota. Minnesota is a very close second, though.

It depends on the time of year.
Think about it. On a summer day in Alaska it's warmer than on a winter day in Minnesota.
But on average yes it's colder in Alaska on any given day.

alaska. but you need to realize that alaska is not a snowy, dark, cold place like everyone thinks. It can get cold up here. -80F in the winter. Where i live -50F is very common in the winter but also 100F in the summer happens all the time.
