Change your Objective to Summary of Qualifications unless you are looking for a career change. I have a great book on resumes and here is what it says about Summary Statements.

The purpose of the summary statement on a resume is to encapsulate the experience, areas of expertise, technical or professional skills and traits detailed in the body of your resume. Since it includes the strongest agruments for hiring you, use key words that march what your target market desires and/or highlight your key attributes.

Examples:
Serior Marketing Executive experienced with diverse technologies. Innovative strategist with proved ability to identify, launch and manage products and services in both emerging and established markets. Demonstrated competence in start-ups and Fortune 500 organizations.

Example:
Customer Service Leader
Over 10 years of experience managing customer service personnel. Strengths include implementation and maintenance of state-of-the-art customer service organization. Successful in resolving customers' concerns in both corporate and field environments.

If you choose to include a statement of professional objective on your resume, keep it a short, simple statement of the kind of work you wish to do and use it like an advertising headin. Here are some Samples. Note that objective statements can be done with or without using the word objective.

Ex: Marketing management in consumer profucts emphasizing product development and new product introductions.

Ex: Senior manufacturing manager providing project leadership in application of quality and statistical methods.

I hope all or atleast some of this helps. Sorry it's so long.

P.S. this is my Qualifications, not as great as there's but here you go.

A dependable professional with over five years experience in both retail and mortgage industries. Proven expertise in using communication and leadership skills to teach others and meet company deadlines. Works well independently and as part of a team.
