If clones don't have souls, neither can they go to Hell or Heaven
"At the end of the third month after the cells begin to divide (the end of the first trimester), God breathes the soul into the child, cloned or otherwise.

The key is to know what is animating the body, what is making it 'alive'. If every clone attempt was successful then it could be claimed that all that was necessary for life was the tissue taken from a donor. But that's not the case. The rate of success is very low. So something else is at work here.
The body is not ever 'alive' in the first place. The body is a vehicle that is constantly changing -- every 7 years every cell is replaced at least once-- but we, the owner and inhabitant of the body is the soul -- a spiritual spark. It is the spirit soul that is the living force in the body. Nothing else seems plausible because nothing else has been created in the lab to animate and give consciousness to a body.
When the tissue is taken for cloning, its absolutely necessary for that tissue to be from a viable donor, one that is alive or has been preserved carefully after being taken from a living donor. So this is just asexual reproduction with a complicated middle step.
In short, yes, a clone has a soul since it is the soul that is animating the body and giving it life.

a definite clever question....
we believe that every life has a soul in it... the trees, the animals, the fishes, us.... therefore, following this reasoning, clone surely would have a soul, right?
question is, who embeds the soul in man? Isn't it that god imprints a soul for every living thing in the planet? and if we clone a man, does it make us gods then?
truthfully, no one knows if a soul really existed. no one can really prove it's existence. yet, many of us believe in GOD or ALLAH, or YAHWEH, or BUDDHA, etc.... thus we do believe there has to be a soul too... if we don't believe a soul existed, therefore, we don't believe in the divine provider too...
therefore, which do you cling to? a belief or a proof? either way, you have answered your question....
me? i believe i exist... whether i have a soul or not, truly i can never say (conflicts of stated reason). but rest assure, i truly believe that a clone may indeed have a partial soul. why? a clone is no different from having a twin brother, you share the same cell. therefore, it follows you have the same soul...

Bible of course says all residing beings have souls. consequently the cloned guy or woman will rather have a soul. no longer indoors an comparable journey, yet Eve could desire to be in assessment as a a dull ringer for Adam. yet whilst Eve grew to become created out of Adam, the soul and techniques of Eve look distinctive.

My christian upbringing would say no, it was not born of God.
In my reading it seems the soul is similar to having a conscience and wishing to be a better human being, verse someone that only wishes to feed their animalistic instincts some born without a soul, therefore without conscience.
I believe that an animal can grow a soul as much love that is poured over them, until they are almost human in some respects.

Yes. Identical twins have souls; and they are natural clones--two people from the same DNA. Therefore, it would be logical to assume that clones also have souls.

The field of bio-ethics will need to cross that bridge at some point...especially if body parts are cloned to help keep the original person alive.
