Place the light source in the direction in which you want the plant to go. You may need to put a barricade up so that the plant doesn't grow upwards.
This works for some plants.
Or you could try turning the plant side-ways once it reaches a certain growth and then it will have a stem that goes up and then sideways when it is sitting upright.

One of the cool science experiments that I have seen is to put a plant in a box with a hole cut into a certain area, and then the plant will grow towards the hole and the light it is getting.

put the light from the side U want it to grow to...or cover it with a carton with one side cut..put the cut in the side U want the plant to grow to...the light comming to it..
if U want to know why exactly plants grow twords light??read the following....
growth hormones don't like light, so when you put the light directly to one side, these hormones go to the opposite side away from the light, so that far away from the light side of the plat becomes longer than the side the hormones escaped from(the side wich the light is directed)so the plant bend over...once it's bent, the light will be spred equally on the plant so the hormones are now spred equally so the growth is normall but the plant allready is bent.....
