You shouldn't let your clothing get in the way of your schooling. They aren't related.
First, get organized. Make sure you have all of your school supplies and get a decent planner for homework, due dates of papers, tests, reports, and other stuff. Write everything down in it so you can keep track of your schooling.
For clothing for school, get plenty of comfortable stuff. Pants should be your staple, skirts a rarity. Get plenty of jeans, or whatever kind of pants you like, and lots of cute tops. Capri's work if you get them the right length. They should stop right below your knee, not the middle of your calf. Get two pairs of sneakers, one pair of casual shoes. Keep the casual shoes for days you don't have gym. If you have gym everyday, keep them for weekends. Casual shoes are things like loafers, slides, and mules. Just go to the store and pick out what you like, even if it's not the latest fashion. It's better to be happy with your appearance than uncomfortable and stylish. If you don't fit into junior's yet, and are still in the children's sizes, there are still plenty of options. Look at department stores rather than speciality shops. JcPenney, Sears, whatever you have near you. Most of them carry a variety of styles instead of just one (goth, punk, preppy, urban...)
If your mom isn't available to take you, try to get an older female to help. While a friend may have great taste, an adult will help you better choose for you, and the school's dress code. I know it's embaressing to shop with a parent, but we do know what we are doing. We've already been there, done that. As hard as it is to believe, we remember being young. :-)

It doesn't matter what you wear, as long as you feel like yourself. Just pick clothes that are comfortable to you. Instead of focusing on what other people might think of your clothes, grades, etc., focus on what you want in life. If you want good grades, get 'em, and don't worry if the other kids tease you like call you a nerd. You should be very proud if you get good grades. As for organization, ask your parents for help. Get a new binder, make sure you use it. Maybe set up a certain day of the week when you and your parents go through your school stuff to make sure that you stay organized. Try to make friends, then you will have something to look forward to during field days, school, and gym, so you won't cut class as much. Just remember to be yourself. I hope I helped. Have fun in sixth grade!!!!

first...you got to change the way you see yourself....you have low self esteem...and school is the place to give it to you. If you stop caring what others are going to say....you'll be okay....i used to dress so different...because i wore anything i wanted....then at the end of the year in the year book i was voted most likely to succeed, because I did;t care and pushed my way through what everyone else thought was a hard time. I didn't react to what people said...if i did i would ask them why do they care about my life? I had many friends because I had the guts not to be carried away with all that click, gang girl crap. Be yourself...don't pretend who you are...even the best dressed and most liked have way more problems that you know. If you need to start out feeling safe then Look in adds and see what they are wearing...ask at the store what is the new things that are selling. get your gear together that way. But most of all....these are teenagers don't let someone dictate how you are going to live your life...and by worrying what other people say...you are letting them do that...be yourself Sweet....

The first thing you need to do is RELAX!!
You can look at what the other kids are wearing and get an idea of what the "fashion" is, then buy your clothes based on that.
As far as being organized, just make yourself a schedule like -
get up
brush teeth
shower
dress
breakfast
school
snack
homework
TV
dinner
games
phone
bedtime
Put times on everything and then you will be organized!
Good luck to you! Most of doing well in school is wanting to, so just keep wanting to and you will have it made!

First, relax! Look in magazines and watch "What Not To Wear" to find out different tips and ideas about how to put your clothes together. The thing is, at 12, you can get away with alot and no matter what you wear, some mean girl or boy will find fault in it. Here is the real trick: be confident in yourself and be comfortable in what you choose to wear. Kids will find you easy to pick on if you let them know you feel insecure about what you wear. Act like you are perfectly confident and happy in your choices and you will find that they will not bug you so much. About being organized, well, that is something everyone has to learn and if you want to become more organized, then you will. You just have to allow enough time in your day to be able to take those few minutes to be prepared. You can do it!!!

Just relax.
I should be telling you that school is for learning, not for fashion, but I understand the pressure to fit in.
I have a 10 year old daughter and she does pay attention to what she wears.
So here are some tips to building a fool-proof school wardrobe.
Since you have the money to shop, I recommend you go to Limited Too, which is a great shop for girls your age and get the following:
Well fitting pair of jeans
Well fitting athletic pants - no too tight, they supposed to be comfortable
A pair of cropped pants or bermuda shorts
Two skirts - one a bubble skirt, one denim mini - not too short though, you won't be able to wear it to school
A couple of pairs of leggings, maybe a pair of legwarmers.
Get some graphic tees, a couple of longer tops, tunic style, maybe a button down shirt, a few camis.
A hoodie, a chunky, warm knitted sweater and a jacket
a long, skinny scarf, couple of large bracelets.
Get a pair of boots and some funky sneakers.
Large shoulder bag.
My daughter likes to wear leggings or yoga pants with woven shorts on top for a dancer look, with legwarmers and dance shoes or sneakers.
And most of all, have fun with clothes. Give them some of your personality and instead of worrying about blending in, you'll be a trend setter.

you need to get better organized and calm down a little... take one thing at the time, that will help you alot... otherwise you are going to burn out really fast... get a planner and write down everything in it on the day it is assigned in blue and the day it is due in red.... make sure you try to stay at least 2 full days ahead, and you will not have a problem... as for the fashion part... dont overdo it, just go to a good dept. store and start with some basics... build from there based on what you like... you can never go wrong with polo/lacoste shirts and jeans or skirts... get a few v-neck plain shirts or with a cute pattern and layer a different colored cami under it... get someone in the shoe dept that looks like they know some things to help you... it helps if you go to Nordstrom or Neimans for that even if you dont buy them there.

I don't think you should stress out so much over school. But a big trend this season is accessorizing. You can wear jeans and white t-shirt with some cute accessories and you'd look like you jumped out of a fashion magazine. Try to be simple and cute. Don't look like you're TRYING too hard. Just be yourself. Pick things up at the store that YOU like and then ask others' opinions if you're that worried about.
