It's not how long you HAVE to wait it's how long you WANT to wait. That would depend on you. There is no set time on these things. Take your time and don't settle for the first thing that comes your way!
Trust me you will know when it's time but I would reccomend waiting til the divorce is final.

The fact that you are asking this question says that you want to date write now. If you are asking how long should I wait so that others don't think I was already over my husband long before the divorce, then I guess you might wait some time. This really is a dumb question to ask people that don't know your situation. I hope you don't hold any of the answers with a grain of salt.

As long as you are not atracted to another man.
Right now you are separated. Do you think he is going to be wondering to go out and have sex with another woman?. Nooo
For a very good reason you must be getting the divorce, don't you???.If the relationship is not working out it's over.
Are you feeling atracted to some special guy, go ahead!!! don't stop your feelings, enought is enought!!!, don't you think???.
Be happy, life is short and full of beatifull things to be worrying of what the people are going to say, you most enjoy your life now!!! no tomorrow, nobody knows where they are going to be tomorrow, so be brave enought and feel confident to make yourself a happy person.
Good Look with you future relationship. Be more selective and take your time.
Nobody can judge you because we are all imperfect and nobody is free of sin.

Start dating when you feel like it, or wait for the final which usually occurs 90 days after filing.

Feel free to date any time you want. You and your husband have decided to split and you are only waiting on the paperwork, so you are as good as divorced already.

No set time. When you feel ready to spend time with someone, you start dating. Keep in mind that guys date for three reasons. Sex, fun and sex, or looking for a long term relationship...and sex. Make sure you know which one you are ready for and be sure the other person is can accept it.

You don't have to wait a certain amount of time. But I would suggest giving yourself 6 months or so to learn who you are as an individual and put your focus on other things besides men.
