City of Angels was an abomination, a crime. Anyone with an ounce of romance in them should see Wings of Desire. It's an interesting cultural contrast between sappy, overstated, big-budget American films vs. a beautiful, art-for-arts sake study on love and desire. "Wings" is a poem, Wim Wenders the poet. Hauntingly beautiful.
