I am sorry! Take who to court? For what reason?

Get real. You made the choice to speed so you pay the fine and take the points.

Speed limits are there for a reason. Have you seen the adverts - do you WANT to kill a child? Or a mother or a father? How would you feel if one of your own was killed by a selfish, self-important idiot who was rushing around?

Tough.

Taking it to court WILL make it worse...for YOU. The only way out via the 'take it to court' route is if you employ the services of one Mr Nick Freeman - he gets all the celebs off with speeding - LEGALLY.

If due to their incompetence they can't provide evidence etc. then you have a small chance of getting off - if they win it could result in another 3 points and a BIG fine plus court costs.

ps. 'mouse' is talking rubbish. It is generally recognised that most POLICE authorities allow you 10% + 2mph (30=35 & 70=79) as their thresholds. BUT, speeding is an 'absolute offence' so even doing 31mph is 'technically' a procecutable offence - think Wales + Mr. Brunstrom = tyranical anti speed campaign.

Pay the fine and resolve to stay within the posted speed limits. I agree 60 Pounds is a lot of money, but you made the mistake. The roads are set with speed limits for a reason and that is for the best traffic flow. When you drive too fast, you risk bunching traffic and causing a crash. I drive the speed limits in the States and get tailgated constantly by people wanting to beat the system. Allow yourself more time to get where your going and you'll seldom have to worry about a ticket or crash.

If you go to court you have to prove you were not doing 41 mph and that the reading is incorrect you could try proving you speedo was giving an incorrect reading which would involve having it tested by an independent reputable company or that the camera or speed detection equipment was faulty both very difficult to prove or disprove but people have won cases before talk to a solicitor who has dealt with this sort of thing before and they will be able to give you best advice find them in yellow pages

Only if you can afford Beckhams lawyer. Seriously. you can get away with the points like this. If it was a speed camera offence get someone you know who doesn't drive to say they were driving. You pay the fine, bung your mate a drink, they get the points. You don't have to produce documents like insurance and stuff, all they want is 60 quid and a licence to put the points on, even a provisional will do, don't you know anyone who used to have a moped when they were 16 and still got a valid licence. Its ilegal so be careful, the loophole will end soon. The cameras are being altered to snap the driver as well as the number plate. Good luck!

You can try mate but you wont have a leg to stand on, you were speeding and you broke the law, people like you make me sick, be a man and take it on the chin. My boyfriend was caught speeding and got a penalty and 3 points, I told him he deserved it for speeding and he agreed. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time!
