unicorns are remarkable horses, in my novel i have included one with wings a hybrid from a pegasus and a unicorn.if horses are symbol of speed and strenght, a unicorn would be the symbol of grace and beauty, but it cannot be mistaken to be too gentle, any animal under a threat would go wild. a unicorn has a twisted horn very much like a drill that could easily bore hole to anything, they sharpen it everyday like a cat stretches and scratches at something such were the ways of animals ot keep their weapons in shape..... also uncorn's forehead is of a thick bone, so if its adamant horn would drill into something and their head would bash directly in to it they would not be hurt. unicorn are faster than ordinary horses, it was said they run so swift like as if they run above ground if viewed from afar.a fable was told that unicorn blood if drank could make one immortal....and lastly unicorns are more special than horses because if you are able to tame them they would no longer need bridles to be ridden, they wont allow their rider to fall and they can understand human language

I had one back in the 90's but had to get rid of it. Not only did it leave a real mess with unicorn pies but that sparkly dust got on everything and just wouldn't vacuum off.

I like unicorns. It's odd that everyone who has posted are reply seems to think that there are horses when in fact they are rhinos!
Most rhinos have two horns on the nose, but the Indian Rhinoceros has only one. It's taxonomic name is Rhinoceros unicornis. Unicorn is Latin for "one horn".
The ancient Greek name was monokeros "one horn".

They are very majestic, but I don't like them. Imagine how fierce those things would be if they were real! Have you ever seen a wild mustang? Or how about a mustang riding competition at a rodeo (those mustangs are pretty close to the wild ones)? Imagine the damage they could inflict with a long, sharp horn!

I am nuts about unicorns!!! I draw them all the time, (dragons too). I mean when you have horses you kind of attach to the horses of mythology!

I do. I also like pegasi. When I was younger I was crazy about them. I don't think either ever existed though. But maybe they did, and are living in another dimension now.

Of course I do! I love imaginary things... because I love fantasy. Anyways, a little, "corny" joke: I like corny and unique things, so I love, "uni-cornies". Aacccckkkk, I know, that was a stupid joke... to much corniness for one sentence, lol :).
