I went for an interview last Tuesday on a job that I really liked. After the interview the hiring manager said I should hear something by Friday or early next week. So far I haven't heard anything yet. I left a voicemail on Monday with the recruiter to see if a decision has been made. Still no reply. I sent the hiring manager a thank you email on Tuesday to see if a decision has been made. Still no reply. Should I give up or keep trying to see if a decision has been made? And how many attempts would seem inappropiate?

Ok you have already made an attempt with the recruiter and with with the hiring manager. NO more! Who knows maybe it had taking longer than they thought. Just chill out. Give it one more week to see if you hear back from them. If you don't I would probally just contact the recruiter and ask them again. I wouldn't bother the hiring manager. You sent her a thank you email....that's good enough and you already called. If they want you, they will call you. Relax....
