i think everyone can be racist at times but that doesnt mean that they are full-blown racists. if you try to be open-minded at least you are aware of what you and others are doing so that is a good start.

No I disagree, everyone is not racist. It is not a matter of admitting it or not it is a case of not being racist. Some people have enforced this view by ridiculous and racist remarks, Mel Gibson recently, but people cannot be generalised in that way. Most people are NOT racist and most people find racism disgusting.

It depends how you define it, in an absolute sense people do stereotype others and treat or expect them to behave differently to varying degrees or at least to the slightest extent because of their appearance so they are unwittingly racist unless you exclude blind people but I don't think that was the leading question you asked was it

But I think we all are to some degree strerotyping is a crucial life skill its how you figure which way a door will open, the paty of an object thrown at you and other more sensitive assessments

some people have strong views that doesnt make them a racist, in the strictist sense of the word they would be classed as having a racist attitude ,if they expressed it, but they do not instead they practice tolerance wether it be a coloured person or a chinese person or a white person, thats for the majority, for the minority who fuel the intolerance of race they cannot yet see that it wont make one jot if we hope to survive as a people, then we have to practice tolerance , for if not what is the alternative, destruction we live in one village, it just so happens to be quite large, thats all.

I'm not racist. I will however laff at some racist jokes if I find them funny. But I don't think that I'm racist. And If I'm not, then I there's got to be other people like me, even better than me...

Im not a racist in the start.

Actually, when I came here in the u.s.a, I like everybody. I like whites, blacks, latinos.. But as time goes on.. one particular race got my attention. Im not gonna say what race but you'll get the idea:

Thieves, Robbery, Murders, Bad Language, Bad Attitude, Funny Clothes (but other races like to wear the same ones too).

So Am I a full-blown racist? NO! But they're forcing me to be one. Their race lost my respect.

Uh... DISAGREE. Some people have different ways of looking at situations. besides, if everyone is racist, how are there mixed race marriages that last. a good family friend has a completely mixed race family, and they're happy, and healthy.

I suppose it depend`s how you define racist, Oxford Dictionary defination of race (each of the major division`s of mankind; group of persons or animals ect. (regarded as) of common stock; posterity of. I suppose your right, as soon as you start thinking you are better than some. you could be classed as being a racist.

every body have dislikes of something or other, but others are not racist. You are to bring it up. we know the worst racist are Caucasians, except when they are travellingabroad, then they are nice as pie.

wrong! i'm mixed race, and from a long line of mixed race people, i got english, french, indian and perhaps khoi san (bushmen haha) because i'm from south africa and up to my great grandparents were mixed. (thats roughly where the mixing started) and to think this mixing comes this long way considering we had government administered racism in our country! i'm not racist, i love everyone who's good and kind and gentle, yea, even heartless ones are human if you suffer them long enuff *wink*
