why was it such good advice, did you heed this advice, and who gave it to you?

"If you don't run then they cant chase you"
It was said to me in the context of not get too stressed or worried when you are trying to make something work / achieve something when its simply not possible, when you are held to account for it you did the best you could with what you had available in resources and time. The point was to tell it like it is and if you've done the best that you can don't allow yourself to be bullied or embarrassed

My best friend died at 17(from natural causes) and every day she used to moan at me for not going along with her Madness(in a nice way, mad) and she used to say F*ck sake you only live once! And although I dont really think I have or will only live once I am now quite aware of not compromising on what makes me happy and if im happy and living my life the way I want to then it cant be a bad thing and she, amongst others, taught me that! ;0)

I've never been given useful advice. I once had a tip (from a book) to approach aptitude/I.Q. tests as an intellectual smash and grab. As a one-off it worked. But as for valuable advice - I wish!

work wise i was getting snowed under with to nany jobs i complained to a supervisor from a nother section he said youd better back peddle a bit, idid and it worked i got more help. as they say in shropshire some times you have to take on soft

i wanted to leave college as i thought it was pointless and i was only in my first year
i thought why not get a job instead but my friend told me stay on education cause you wont look for job , job will look for you and find you, i stay on at college for a further 3 years and got a job qualifications experince , she was right i was really happy staying on and did get work

Live life for no regrets...both my grand mother Who died of cancer and a woman from my apartment complex told me this(she had a brest cancer scare) and that is what I'm now doing...

my mom said start married life the way you mean to go on, whatever you do don't do everything for him, so he vaccums, cooks and irons. Have been married for 17 years, so she must have been right
