What kind of carpet is it? Color? What color nail polish? How big is that glob? Before you apply nail polish remover and it causes the polish to run: try to use fingernail scissors (for their small pointy shears) and try to clip the glob out of the carpet fibers. Is the polish too deep to clip out? You might also try this: apply masking tape to the carpet around the glob (to protect the surrounding carpet) and blot at the glob by alternating between nail polish remover on a tissue and a dry papertowel. Good luck.

Color test a non noticable3 spot in your carpet with nail polish remover to see if the color comes out of your carpet, if not go for it on the spot!

If you have tried everything else, & it has some pile to it, cut it out - just the fibers. Then carefully cut some fibers out of a hidden or little noticed area & glue them in the hole. It should cover it pretty well.

1. Put furniture on top of it; or;
2. Call a specialized cleaning company; or;
3. Put a smaller rag on top of it to make it look like an actual rag superposition pattern.
