I saw the movie, documentary, and when I was a kid I was always interested in who hung out there.
I was expecially impressed when Bianca Jagger rode in on a horse.

I lived in Chicago at that time and all the places I hung at in Chicago were just as bad or worse, more of a musician crowd tho instead of celebrities, I knew of people that had been there and they liked Chicago better, a friend of mine was there the same night Sid Vicious slashed Patti Smiths brother Todd, actually the assault happened at Hurrah's, on December 9, 1978, Todd Smith lost his eye, but you don't just hit one bar in a night, you go prowling and hit several each night, CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, Hurrah's, Tier 3, The Mudd Club, A Space, Tramps, Danceteria, The Peppermint Lounge, The Rock Lounge, Trax, Irving Plaza

I honestly don't really know about Studio 54, but I do know that my mom & dad's studio must have been really wild during that time... because I was born as a result of proof, in the 70's.

The 70's (which is really the bulk of what's known as the 60's) was a titally different time. The majority of people used recreational drugs and if you met someone and had coffee, it was likely that you would have sex. You had to be there to believe it; and those who were there looking back find it hard to believe.

My Mom had a friend who used to party there. According to her it was like any drug, any fetish, any desire, all wrapped around a disco! She says when she couldn't afford a drink or the blow she would just get freaky with somebody with lots of money and they would get her what she wanted. She claims she slept with over 300 guys there. She was a hotty!
