Sore throats caused by a virus do not respond to antibiotics but there are several measures that can be taken to help reduce the discomfort:
Gargle with a cup of warm water and 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
Suck throat lozenges or use throat sprays
Use a pain reliever such as paracetamol every four hours
Drink plenty of water, soft drinks or milkshakes
Eat soft foods such as ice cream, soups and mashed vegetables
Avoid smoking because this can cause further throat irritation

Naturally would be the best way Change your diet Eat greens, and Healthy cooked meat. Drink orange juice, bottled water.
Healthcare facility could prescribe some antibiotics. There is this blue stuff like a Walgreen's brand sore throat soothing liquid not the spray - the spray sucks.
To make sure it dosent happen again, wash your hands all the time, Read a restaurant dish washing station guide on-line and learn to sanitize your dishes the right way. Unproperly washed cups did it to you most likely. If you think its from sexual contact definitely.go with what your Dr. says.

Don't take drugs they don't cure any thing, all they do is cover up the symptom es. I think the best way to cure your problem would be eating a high water content diet including fruits and vegetable. Most of the time the body will develop symptoms due to irritations that is due to imbalanced nutrition.

Warm salty water to kill the bacteria and then, as my granny would say.... warm milk and honey. Lots of people have said honey so it must have some healing attributes for a sore throat. Other than that, rest it... don't talk, just type :)

Lots of water will help your throat from drying out, or try sucking a boiled sweet every hour.
If it's sore, throat sweets from a chemists will help.
