at work we have soups everyday, and have to throw them out every day, is there a better way to dispose of them besides in a garbage can?

throw the liquid down the drain - recycle the carton/can/jar

It seems like a waste of good food. Maybe there is a homeless shelter that you could give he soup too. All areas there are hungry people. If your employer will not give the soup to them see if you can take it home and you give it to them. It is sad when good food is wasted in this way. Good Luck

It's too bad so many restaurants are forced into wasting their food. I'd donate them to the local homeless shelter or soup kitchen--but I don't know what the legalities are.

Start a soup kitchen and feed the homeless with the leftovers.
