I wasn't meaning all rap music in my previous question, there are many rap artists who dont glamorize drugs, i was a big fan of run dmc and others. I do mean gansta rap, I believe that is even a genre of rap. Its true these rap artists are talking about a lifestyle they once new or a lifetyle that is very real anyway. But does that make it right? They all where the bling and go on about how much money theve made, and its true theres lots of money in drugs, but the downside is the suffering of the adicts and the the there familys. As far as it being the parents responsibilty to educate there kids, don't most kids rebel and do the opposite of what there parents say? The goverment has the power to show the real and nasty side of drug abuse, just like they do when they campaign agaist drink driving! But you don't see this with drugs! I think there is so much money in it even the goverment are corrupt!

all music glamorizes or pays homage to something. bach the church, arlo guthrie unemployment and hobos, the osmonds addiction to colgate and jesus. nysnc being gay, the list goes on it doesnt matter what the message in the song is, its the people who take it to heart and act upon the lyrics that matter. thanks to eminem half of europes kids think they're from south central LA and gansta ghetto pimps
