It is against the law to place anything in or on a post office or mail box. It's against federal post guidlines. HOWEVER you can legally place flyers in cars at parking lots that don't post no soliciting and on cars that park in streets or even on the doorknobs of homes.

I work for the Postal Service and it is against the law to put flyers in people's mail boxes. You will have to put a stamp on it.

Against the law. ONLY the United States Postal Service, the owners of the mailbox and those authorized by the owners of the mailbox (ie renters, houseguests) may go in a mailbox. It is a federal offense so don't risk it. Just leave flyers on doorsteps.

It's against the law to put them IN the mailboxes but not ON the mailboxes. You can hang them off the flag or the box itself. That's actually a pretty effective (and cheap) way to advertise in a local market. What I've seen done in the past was to rubber band them around the flag. It's all based on the weather though.

No. That is considered to be an invasion of a persons personal property rights- but you are allowed to put flyers on doors or in stores where they allow it. Sorry.

Yeap it's illegal. Did you ever hear about the little boy who put a flyer in his neighborhoods mailboxes to earn moeny cutting grass?? He ended up having to pay postage for all of them. Why do you think when you get home and someone put a pizza flyer on your door handle wrapped in rubberband?? yeah that's what I sugges you do....lots of rubberbands....roll flyer up and rubberband to handle.

Dont listen to the people who are telling you its not illegal... Its a federal offense to tamper with mailboxes that includes opening them to put something in it even if its just a flyer.

You can't put anything in a mailbox unless you have them all mailed. You can use a rubberband to put it on the door handle.

Yes, your allowed to put flyers in people's mail boxes.
As long as your not advertising some type of illegal service or adult contents, then you should have no problems at all.
I wish you well..
