Could be because there is MUCH more to this planet, than America and it's views and ideals. The world would be quite boring if it were turned into a huge version of the U.S.
Back in the day, I don't imagine a lot of people dug the idea of a "Roman planet" or world or however they saw the entirety of this 'thing' we live on...but the Romans were sure bent on taking over the known world...

Why should we be so stuck up and elitist to think we could even begin to have an American planet? We can't even take care of our own problems.. they get largely ignored. We aren't nearly as old as many other cultures around the world.. we need to grow up a lot.

Your question is predicated on the baseless assumption that human beings worship the flag. it rather is authentic that human beings have continually held a definite point of admire for the flag as a logo of solidarity around the yankee concepts of self-government based on the rights to "existence, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." it is likewise authentic that throughout the time of circumstances of national disaster the symbolism of solidarity that's the flag will become greater substantial to voters. i've got not got self assurance that demonstrating admire for the flag - and greater importantly, no longer as we communicate exhibiting admire in the direction of the concepts it rather is understood to symbolize - is incorrect or makes a individual "obsesses with the flag."

If you think about it, a real democracy is having a world that does not have ONE leader or ONE social/economic structure for all countries. What you are describing would destroy the entire concept of democracy.
