Hi, I have an Xbox and use the Xbox branded Linksys Adapter to connect my Xbox to my wireless network which is a D-Link router plugged into my modem. My Laptops run fine with WEP or Mac ID Filtering (I would use WPA but the Xbox doesn't allow for this)...anyway for some reason if I turn on Mac ID Filtering OR WEP encription my Xbox pretends not to be able to communicate with my Router. Is this a common problem? Has anyone else figured out how to make encription work with a wireless setup?

It would seem that the Xbox can not handle whole encryption process. It's not pretending that it can not communicate with the router, the encryption is making it impossible to communicate?

Use WEP or MAC, you don't need both.

You need to enter the Xbox's MAC address in the router table.
