Although hospitals usually do provide toiletries - I always pack my own. I never like their kinds, and would rather have my usual. So I buy my own kinds in trial sizes, and pack in a cosmetic bag. Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant. Small, easy to pack, and can easily be thrown out.
I packed a brush and a couple ponytail holders. If there was anything that I hated, was my hair in my face when I was pushing!
I also packed socks. A whole pack. I'm a sock person so I wanted to make sure that I have enough, if I stay there longer than 2 days. Instead of big slippers or toting my house-worn ones, I bought a couple of slipper socks at Kmart. They work like slippers, are lightweight like socks. Worked wonderfully for the hospital!
I brought an outfit to wear home. Just a pair of sweatpants and a tshirt, and a sports bra. I know I"m not going to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans right away, and after all your body goes through - all I ever wear is stretch pants right after birth. I usually just wore the hospital gowns while I was there, and a sports bra. There's a lot of blood after giving birth - so I never wanted to chance ruining my own clothes!
An outfit for the baby to go home in. You will need socks, a sleeper, and several receiving blankets. Also a lightweight fleece one. You will need a carseat, with a newborn head rest. You might want to get a lightweight hooded jacket, but since baby will be bundled up and you're due pretty soon, you probably won't really need it.
Your usual lip balm. Having a baby takes a lot of out you. I forgot some one time, and I'll never forget it again.
Camera, batteries, & film. Whatever you have. If you don't have one, just get a disposable or two.
Key is, just bring the basics. Just the things that you need, while you're there. Most hospitals have radios & tv sets, and dvd players. I always chose to rest when I could - in between all the visitors. And to get yourself home. Remember, you're not only going home with a new baby - but all the gifts that you'll be getting at the hospital - so don't pack your house into the bag - just the basics!!
And good luck! You're finally at the end of a long road of pregnancy, and embarking on a new journey! Motherhood.

The well being middle aspects the sanitary napkins and that they are plenty softer than those you purchase interior the keep and have confidence me you will choose comfortable, incredibly in case you have an episiotomy. as some distance via fact the nightgown for hard artwork, i does not. you would be very heat throughout the time of hard artwork and it rather is a sprint messy after the water breaks. it rather is thoroughly as much as you. I packed plenty once I went to the well being middle and used little or no. I used my shampoo, conditioner and physique wash. I used my brush and a scrunchi and that i took a pair of pairs of clothing yet that's all I used out of the rather some stuff I took. sturdy luck and congrats.

Bring your own t-shirts or pjs for labor. It will help you feel more comfortable than those backless paper things. It will also help you feel more like a customer and less like a patient if anyone tries to boss you around! :)
