American League: New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, Minnesota Twins (wild card)

National League: New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinatti Reds (wild card)

The Yankee's month is August. Every year in August they catch on fire and start winning many games in a row. Right now their pitching is better and their hitting is better than the rest of the year. The Tigers have had the best record in baseball all year, they'll win the division unless something strange happens. No one in the West has been able to catch Oakland, and the A's keep winning. The AL Wild Card is going to be a rat race until the end, but with boston fading, Chicago's pitching woes, and the fact that the Twins are on fire right now, it seems that Minnesota will get it in the end.

The Mets have been on top of their division all year, and they continue to have a comfortable lead on everyone else in their division. The Cards have had great days and bad days, and there are many teams that have a chance of catching them. But they're a good team with good players, so they'll win their division. The Dodgers have won 14 out of 15 games since adding Greg Maddux. All their players are doing well and everyone else in their division is playing mediocre baseball. The Wild Card is between the Reds, Padres, and Diamondbacks. The Reds seems to have a better all-around team than San Diego or Arizona, and they're a threat to the Cards for the division lead.

"...the two a style of communities will make the playoffs besides until eventually one in each and every of them completely collapses." you're arguing against your self. and that i think of you do no longer understand the assumption of the wild card format. The wild card team is the terrific team interior the league (for AL and for NL) that may not a branch winner. If there wasn't a wild card team format, in basic terms a style of communities will make the playoffs. specially via wild card, at this factor, the two the pink Sox and Yankees will make the playoffs. If something, it rather is further exhilaration to the familiar season. possibly no longer this season, yet there have been years while the wild card team wasn't desperate until eventually the final interest of the familiar season. BQ: particular they are loopy. The season is long adequate and yet another WC team might require one greater set of playoffs.

Quite frankly, the Twins have not yet played to their potential. They will win the wild card, as they have begun to play better. Their winnings will only become more consistent as the regular season comes to a close.

Arizona as stepped up lately and are in serious contention. If everything holds together (like it should), the Diamondbacks will win the NL Wild Card. They, too, like the twins have started to come together.
