His name was Ferdinand de Colon and he was the inventor of many catchy rock and roll non words. He began his career with doo wap adoo doo doo wap. The waps were contributed by fellow collaborator Chuck Morgenstein Jr. In his next project he went solo, producing the fabulous Doo Wah Diddy, later used by various artists ranging from Manfredd Mann to the seminal 70s Kitsch band Darts. Unfortunately in later years Colon's work began to suffer as he sought refuge in the bottle to see him through a turbulent emotional crisis (his Goldfish died).

Today he is probably best remembered for writing the words to the well known Shake n Vac ads of the eighties. Colon is not currently working as he is dead.We will all miss him. Ramalamalamaramalamadingdong!
