it's usually a purple button (Fn) and you hold that down and then press up or down on ur keyboard. Or just press one of the keys that has purple stuff on it.

do u have a book that cme with your Dell laptop it will tell you there how to reset your screen brightness and stuff like that if you dont try pressing some keys or buttons and thing will happen btw i hope you have a verry good firewall on your Dell. laptop i hear in the news the dell laptops get very very hot lol

It really depend on your specific model. Most of the newer ones have a special key combo that allow you to either go up or down on the lighting. It is usually holding down the Fn key and then one of the F keys.

go to control panel and click on display it should be there.
