The average IQ is 100. An IQ of 130 is considered genius. An IQ of 70 makes you a "moron" (the original definition).
At 118 you're smarter than the average bear 85th %ile sounds about right.

It means that you know more than the average person knows. Average IQ is 100.
IQ is basically a measure of how much you know. And it depends on how much learning and experience you've had in your life as well as on your ability to learn new information.
Even if you cannot learn as quickly and efficiently as some other people can, you can still end up with a higher IQ simply by devoting more time and effort to studying and learning.

IQ is supposed to be a measue of your intellegence potential. Really doesn't have anything to do with cleverness.
118 is an above average IQ (slightly).
I recommend you read "The Bell Curve" for everything you want to know about IQ.

The avrage IQ is around 110-115. Pretty self explanitory.
If you took a multipul answer IQ test don't trust those, take a proffesional one if you want to know your true IQ. Even then don't even think about your IQ, IQ scores are flawed.
Think like that and you get into Harvard!

On average maybe, but thats because most of the country are intellectually 1 step above a tomato. Public education is a mess and it shows. It also depends on the IQ exam.

no, you are about average. Mine sits aroung137, and I'm considered high average.
My son's Iq was 154 the last time he took tests, and he is considered advanced, but not genius.
