its not exact because to program the mp3 takes some memory so you wont have 512 mb and you probably can only fit like 50 because my 1gb ipod only holds 175 it was supposed to hold 250

about 120mp3 files or 240wma song files...but it also depends on how long the song is and if you have compressed it or not
