Yeppers, the only thing is that in Texas unless one of you is active duty military you have to wait 3 days from the time you get your marriage license (I may have misspelled that). Good luck and congrats!

The bigger issue is getting married now and then having a "church wedding" later - you may want to check with your church and see if they'll let you do that.
If they will, then yes, you can get married by a Justice of the Peace in Texas.

Yes. I k ow plenty of people who have done this in many states. But it depends on the courthouse if they need you to get the paper work done at the time or weeks before, and there is usually a fee.
Congratulations!

Yes, I am happy to say that I got married in Mesquite,TX at the municipal building and all you have to do is come as you are dress up if you like, also bring your marriage license wait is not that long and it cost us 60 bucks. We didn't have to have any witnesses as others have stated. It was nice.
Good luck

Yes. Just call to the court house they'll set up a date and time for you to be there. Be sure to bring milk and cookies they have more people than you might imagine getting married like that, so it might be a while.

Yes, you can get married at the Justice of the Peace. They are legally authorized to sign off on the marriage certificate.

Where I live my husband and I got married at City Hall. When I went in to get my marriage license the lady who did the marriage license was also a Justice of the Peace. When you go to get your marriage license I am sure they could help you out.

Yes, it happens all the time. You get a license first then after the waiting period, then go and have the judge marry you.
Congratulations!!!
