I read this story about an abortion survivor and a Colorado politician and wondered what others thought about it.

Most people don't realize that one of the "risks" of abortion is the undesired survival of the child. Here are stories of other abortion survivors, as well as more information about Gianna:

Gosh, she was really something. She explains in one of her speaches "what went on right after her delivery". She is so special because she can remember her own birth. And she felt no pain or other symptoms. I know that I am truly not worthy to speak about this because I cannot remember anything about my own birth. I don't even remember if there was pain, or who was in the room, or the time----no not a thing. So this woman is truly not a shill of the pro life movement, how could such a person be anything but a saint.

The issue of abortion always has been and always will be a sensitive one. There is no doubt in my mind on that point. The stunt this politician pulled only underlines his conflict of interest. I can fully respect his obviously deep-seated religious beliefs and his opinion on the subject on abortion. However, his attempt to force-feed those beliefs on those around him and on his constituents disgusts me.

Its a good story, I believe in abortion but not after the first trimester. It should always be a right to have an abortion.

I read the book Gianna. Gianna Jessen is an amazing person. Everybody should read this book, it could change their views on abortion altogether. I don't agree with abortion, unless the woman has been raped or the pregnancy is threatening her life. Using abortion as birth control is totally wrong.

Goes to show, you never know who is being aborted. Could be the person that cures cancer and AIDS combined. Could be the person that orchestrates world peace. Could just be a regular guy like you and me. In any case, why is a "lifestyle choice" given such high protection?

If there is even a Spackle of a chance the baby could survive if it was delivered, abortion is murder.

If the heart is beating, or the brain is active. It's murder.

If its heart isn't beating and it's brain isn't active, fine with me.

Against abortion? Don't have one.

For a supposedly "conservative" Republican issue, this seems like smarmy, bleeding heart liberal bulls**it.

Let the civil war begin.

that is the longest thing I have ever read in my life...I need a 10 minute break now.

Neat story but it didn't really touch me...maybe I'm imbalanced or something but, to me it wasn't that great.
