Well it's believed by some that it can be changed, i'm not really sure about that. if something goes wrong in your life is destiny really to be blamed for it.

No, I believe destiny is a goal we must strive to find on our own. It's not a path to follow like a roadmap, but a destination. The journey is what makes life so interesting. Discovering that destiny and finding your way to it, half the battle.

There's not one scintella of evidence of a pre-ordained plan. What makes a person stand out anyway?

Greatness may last a thousand years for a few and eternally for none. On the scale of earthly time, individual lives are but mere blinks of an eye. We're born, we live, we die and then you're not heard from ever again. There might be a tombstone or family tree made with your name on it, but eventually the tombstone weathers from age and who knows what media your family tree will be used. All the memories and accomplishments will be totally forgotten, unless you're a Hitler or Alexander the Great type person.

In a thousand years, your bones will be dust and no other trace of your existence will be seen, unless, of course you become fossilized for some reason, but even then, after thousands of years more, that will be disintegrated into dust. We influence the lives of our children and others, but they too will eventually die. So what's the point of living?

In astronomical terms, the Earth will eventually succumb to the supernova of our Sun, it's an astonomically certainty the earth will be burned to a crisp.

So does death render our lives meaningless. If we were immortal, that would be the ultimate in boredom, repetition, day after day, of doing the same thing for thousands of years (hundreds may be OK, but nothing beyond that)....but i digress, back to your question.

It all boils down to how creative we can be in the short period of time we have on this earth....Our activities need to be worthwhile for their own sake, not because they fulfill some supernatural transcendental purpose....LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST DAMNIT, YOU WON'T GET A SECOND CHANCE!!!

“Destiny” is “fate”. In another word, it means a belief that the inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined.

Yes. I believe our destiny is written, but by whom? (Isn’t this a more curiosity question, since it is not fair to blame God, for all our mistakes?

Regardless who has written it, each of us have a choice to make the decision, and that can make the path reaching our destiny to be smooth or one of the most difficult one.

Nobody knows!
when you think you're creating your own destiny, that maybe what is is you were meant to do! It's hard to say yes or no, because we don't don't know what God has in store for us!

Look at Noah, he tried to do his own thing and got swallowed by a fish before realising he has to do God's will!

I agree with Just_ine! You create your own destiny. When you get to the cross roads, you make the decision. Good or bad.
Wrong or right - it's all up to you baby!

You are speaking of determinism, that one's actions in life are governed by a series of antecedent events, and the future is unalterable. In this case if something goes wrong it is not your fault, this applies to criminal punishment; if one is a criminal because of pre determined course of events, then they cannot be held responsible for their actions. I am not a determinist, no Christian really can be a determinist, because God allows for some free will.
We can choose to obey God's word or not.

There is a reason for everything. I believe that there is a chain reaction. Example, If you leave late for work one morning, maybe you just avoided an accident.
