Is a life without Love or Joy worth living?
Sure, we can probably do without jealousy, hate, anxiety and others, but humans should work on removing the effects of the negative emotions in their lives, not by removing all emotions.
Excitement and happiness, as well as satisfaction and gratefulness are very valuable in the lives of most humans.

Without emotions, you half the experience you gain from every event. A logical mind can analyze information - specially after the event - however; without emotional response you only have logic to base on, and logic does not "feel" anything at all - thus, you half the experience you gain.
Anything that happens, for example, will be completely devoid of feeling - removing the single largest portion of an event that can cause any sort of trigger for more information to be provided.
You can still look and decipher information logically, however, the answers will be only half correct - as you've removed a complete spectrum to the actual event.

Definitely.
It's mis-emotions, and reactive emotions and "stuck" emotions that have no value and cause problems for us.
Recommend you read the book "Dianteics the Modern Science of Mental Health".
This book tells you why these unwanted emotions occur, and how to fix them.

Oh, lots. Think about the emotions you take to work in the morning, and the emotions you show your family and friends, They are both different but they play an important part in our daily lives.

emotions have more value than we realize
there was a case study of a man who lost his ability to feel emotions (i can't remember how exactly, i'm trying to look it up). he would literally spend hours trying to decide things as simple as what to have for breakfast. most people just say "hmm i want eggs." but this guy would literally debate about (idk say) the nutritional value of food and whatever else, because he just couldn't feel what he wanted. he never got anything done at his job, so he lost his job, his marriage fell apart, and basically his life sucked...only he probably didnt know that.
emotions feul a lot of what we do...think about getting into a heated debate...why even care about that topic? what is it about the other person's arguemetn that fuels you emotionally? its weird to think about, but a lot of what we do is just "how we feel"

OF COURSE THEY DO. HOW WE FEEL GUIDES OUR ACTIONS.
IF WE CARE ABOUT SOMEONE, WE SHOW CONSIDERATION. IF WE DON'T, WE IGNORE THEM AND THEIR THOUGHTS OR OPINIONS HAVE NO VALUE FOR US.
WHEN A MAN SAYS HE LOVES HIS WIFE, YET HE BEATS HER, HE IS TAKING OUT HIS OWN NEGATIVE FEELINGS ABOUT HIMSELF ON HER.
IF A MAN REALLY LOVES HIS WIFE, HE SHOWS HER RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION.
WHEN PEPOPLE SEEK TO GAIN THE APPROVAL OF OTHERS, IT DEMONSTRATES SELF-DOUBT.
WHEN PEOPLE GIVE COMPLIMENTS, TIME, AND EFFORT TO OTHERS, IT DEMONSTRATES CONFIDENCE.
WHAT PEOPLE DO SHOWS YOU HOW THEY FEEL, JUST PAY ATTENTION......
