Africa was fine and prosperous when it was run by Europeans. Sadly they are incapable of running it themselves without outside help. When the Eropeans ran African countries they had law and order, education and hospitals. Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) was the garden of Africa and now it is imploding due to corrupt leadership. The same applies to most other African countries.
The Lefties amongst us will say that we are to blame but this is rubbish. We left the continent is good shape and the Africans have destroyed themselves.

You are a complete moron. You are so full of S**t. What makes you think Africa needs saving and how exactly are you going to save it. You watch 2 much TV and your brain has turned to mush. Bono and Bob G have joined with your govt to make you think things here are so good that there are starving villagers somewhere. There would be some isolated pockets of starving people on a large continent wouldn't there? If you go to the strand or the west end you will find hundreds of stranded, starving and homeless people, if you weren't so thick and brainwashed, don't you think it is better to save them before you go as far as Africa?

If Africa CAN be saved, they could contribute a lot to the rest of the world.
There are some 850 million people in Africa, numerous resources, and lots of land. If Africa can be made stable and prosperous, their economic output could boost living standards worldwide. Even better, African intellectuals and inventors, freed from fear of violence or starvation, could enrich the quality of life by contributing to world culture, knowledge, and technology.

There is no point, yes they are humans and many say they deserved to be saved, but what about the saying that every government adopts, the saying that is necessary for human survival. The death of the few is the life of many. Africa is infested with aids and many other diseases and problems. i know that some people would find it hard but it needs to be left alone. Billions of dollars have been spent and it has hardly improved. If we leave Africa alone and concentrate on the rest of the world we could eliminate hunger and disease in the rest of the world. the truth is harsh, please no one hate me for being the one to actually express my opinion.

The point is, no matter how desperate the situation is over there it would be a crime against humanity to let people that cannot help themselves suffer, when most of the rest of the world live in an embarrassment of riches. It is within our nature (well most of us anyway) to help those in need and to give whatever we can to those that dont have much of anything. The problem is with the media coverage we have these days is that, although it provides a means to display the level of poverty in other countries, it kind of desensitises us to it as it becomes over exposed and turns these people and their lives into sad pictures on a screen.

Humanity is the point. We all know these are human beings, and we need to care for others. Also, the world is a huge natural circle. If africa is doing bad, eventually we all will be. We are all on the same world!

surely africans deserve a decent life just as much as any other person?! It was all the capitalist countries that got Africa in such a mess with massive debts in the first place, which caused massive poverty all over Africa, so surely we should help them to live a decent and happy life, instead of being selfish and not caring about anyone except ourselves.

Have you ever been to Africa, you nerd? Maybe you should and it would certainly teach you not to make horrid statements like this.
These people have very little in their lives but one thing they always have that not many people in the Western world have today and that is a SMILE on their faces.
