Yes I have and the music I find most pleasing is that from an Ûd. A kind of egyptian guitar. It is very relaxing.

Yes. I was in kuwait for a brief time last year, and had a chance to listen to some Arabic music which had a bit of a techno beat to it. I have been trying to find similiar music now that I am back in the states, and have had no luck.
They told me it was charize, or something to that effect. The closest thing I have found since is Ruby, an Egyptian singer. http://www.rubymania.com

I have. My friend is a huge fan of worldly music and was playing some in the car. It was ok. I'm a much bigger fan of metal though.

Yup, I have. I don't like them AT ALL. They remind me of a guy that wanted me for himself, he was EXTREMELY posessive and made me feel VERY uncomfortable. Needless 2 say, I dumped his sorry *** & don't EVER want 2 know ANYTHING about him, his culture, music, etc, etc, etc.
(I'm NOT a racist, I'm just telling a TRUE story & expressing my opinion on that particular case).

yes i listen to them all the time....some of them are too slow, but i love lots of them because they have lots of beats and rythms, instruments. Sometimes i want to dance to them, but i can't really dance that well.
i like the ones that start slow and then go really fast
i like Najowa Carim (i dont know how to spell her name but i have heard of her before) and Nancy Ajram
