I just had major knee surgery and they gave me a painkiller called Lorcet, it makes me have horrid, vivid nightmares-is this a side-effect?Should I call my doctor? I don't want to be a whimp:)

I know several people who say the same thing. Lorcet is a more potent version of vicodin. Ask your docktor to reduce the dose yo a 5-500mg version

I've not been on Lorcet ever, but I would call your doctor. It may be normal, but there may be another pain-killer that wouldn't lead to nightmares that would be as effective.
