Probably back in Afghanistan with the Taliban who are steadily gaining power back. So much for stopping our enemies and fighting terrorism.

Most likely he is hiding in the northwest province of Pakistan, where he is getting some protection from sympathizers in the Pakistan intelligence services.

My guess is that the US government is very happy to have him occasionally send out tapes from there; if he were caught or killed the "war on terror" would have to end.

Now the government wouldn't ever want that to happen, would it? Then what would Republicans run on as a platform issue to scare the heck out of Americans, and put Democrats in a bad light?
