In America, you get the best democracy you can buy.

This applies to breaking the law, elections, and everything else.

Do you really think that someone like George W. Bush would have been elected president if he was a poor schmuck?

Because the American public worships them, just look at all the entertainment tv shows out there. Remeber when it was just ET and A Current Affair. Now there are like 14 on the big 4 and don't get me started on cable.

Judges are star struck as$holes sometimes.

Robert Downey got out of prison to work on a MOVIE!!!! Not even a doctor with a break through on cancer would be allowed out to work on his cure.

I couldn't agree with you more!

If I were to drink and drive I would get a fine, license suspended and even jail in some cases. A celebrity? Community service or enter a rehab that they can DRIVE to themselves.

It's all BS

I understand the in legal circles for every $50,000.00 you are willing to spend on legal fees you can get one year off your sentence. Thus if its a 5 year sentence for a mere 250 grand you can be free. Pity the schmuck who gets the free public defender.
